Gilbert Self Defense
Confidence without aggression.
Children learn to recognize unsafe behavior, speak with confidence, seek help, protect themselves when necessary and use their skills responsibly.
What parents are really asking
Will my child become more confident? Know what to do when someone crosses a line? Learn respect and self-control? Build skills that work when the other child resists? Our program is built around those questions.
Awareness and voice
Recognize bullying and unsafe behavior, use confident posture and words, and involve trusted adults early.
Physical capability
Maintain balance, protect the head, escape grabs and pins, control distance and reach safety without unnecessary harm.
Character and responsibility
Understand when physical action is justified, use the least force necessary and never use skill to intimidate others.
A clear response to bullying
Identify the difference between joking, conflict and targeted bullying; speak confidently; move toward safety; tell a trusted adult; and protect yourself if the situation becomes physical.
The parent partnership
Clear communication helps families reinforce awareness, boundaries, help-seeking and responsibility at home.
You do not have to feel ready to begin.
We will meet you where you are and show you how the training works.
